User Management

 

As the Dealer administrator, you can add users, edit user details, search for users in your dealer group, and retire users.

Add a New User

To add a user:

  1. Select Admin > User Management from the left navigation menu.

     


2. In the User Management dialog, click the Add User button in the top-right corner:

         

3. In the User Information panel, enter the following user details:

Note: Required fields in the following dialogs are denoted by a red asterisk.

User Type
Select the type of user that you are creating. Your options include:
  • Dealer
User Role
Select the user role that you want to assign to this user, such as Admin or Producer.
The user role options change based on the User Type you selected above.
Username
Displays the user’s auto-assigned username which is the user's email address. This is not an editable field.
First Name Enter the user’s first name.
Last Name
Enter user’s last name.
Mobile Phone
Enter user’s mobile phone number.
Work Phone
Enter the user’s work phone number.
Email
Enter user’s work email address. This will become the Username.
User Dept Fax
Enter user’s department fax number.

 
4. The Company Association panel indicates that all TRONIX users have access to all companies within their dealer group. Enter the following information relating to this user's company association:

Dealer Group
Select the dealer group associated with this user.
Primary DealershipSelect the primary dealership with which this user is associated.
Additional DealershipsUse the Available Dealership(s) and Select Dealership(s) columns to assign additional dealerships within this Dealer Group to this user. This will give the user access to these dealerships in TRONIX. Use the +/- symbols to move dealerships back and forth between columns. The user will have access to the dealerships in the Select Dealership(s) column.
Selling StyleSelect the selling style to assign to this user:
  • Traditional - If selected, traditional menu package options can be displayed for presentation.
  • Deductive - (premium feature for registered dealers) If selected, the dealer markup for a specific product is removed from the bundle if the dealer removes products, but the dealer markup is reallocated.
  • Quick Quote - If selected, the dealer has the ability to provide a quick quote for products based on vehicle information only. For more information, see Deals - Quick Quote.


 5. In the Global Controls panel, select one or more global controls to associate with this user. Global controls give users permissions to perform certain activities in TRONIX, so be sure to make your selections carefully;

Can this user see dealer cost?
Select if the user can see dealer cost and have access to the SDC (Show Dealer Cost) button in the menu.
Can this user override customer price?Select if the user can override product cost in the menu. 
Can this user finalize dealers during the sales process?Select if the user can finalize deals during the sales process. 
Can this user modify deal info for other users?Select if the user can modify deal info for other users in the dealership. 
Can this user print without a DMS push?Select if the user can print without a DMS push. Only needed for dealers with DMS push capabilities. 
Can this user view Reports?Select if the user should have access to the Reports Tool. 
Can this user change Lender Finance Reserve and Percentages?Select if the user can change Lender Finance Reserves and Percentages in Lender Management. 
Can this user issue contracts?Select if the user can issue contracts?
Can this user control menu template defaults & modify product info?Select if the user can modify menu templates and product info. 
Is this person a Looker user?Select if the user is a Looker Reports user. The dealer is charged per user with access to Looker so please select carefully. 

         6. Click Save to save all of your entries and selections.

         7. A success message appears indicating that the new user has been created. 

      8. TRONIX sends a welcome email to the new user.

 

Edit a User Profile

To edit a user in TRONIX:

  1. Follow the steps in the "Search for Users" section below to search for the user.

2. Locate the user that you want to edit in the User Name table and click the user’s name (blue hyperlink).

3. The User Details dialog appears where you can edit the user's details in the following panels:  


    • User Information
    • Company Association
    • Global Controls

     4. See Add A New User section for information on editable fields.  


      5. Click Save when you have made all your changes to this user profile. 

 

Search for Users

To search for users within TRONIX:

  1. Select Admin > User Management from the left navigation menu.

2. In the User Management dialog, you can search for users in the search field by name or user the Advanced Search feature using one or more of these options:

Search
Use this field to enter the user’s name if you know it. You do not have to enter the full email address. Partial searches work here.
Advanced
Click this button to display additional search filter fields.
First Name
Enter the user’s first name if you know it.
Last Name
Enter the user’s last name if you know it.
User Name
Enter the user’s TRONIX username if you know it.
User Role
Select a user role to use as a search filter.
TPA
Select a TPA to use as a search filter.
Agency
Select an agency to use as a search filter.
Dealer Group
Select a dealer group to use as a search filter.
Dealer
Select a dealer to use as a search filter.
Email
Enter the user’s email address if you know it. You do not have to enter the full email address. Partial searches work here.
Active Users Only
Select this option to search only for users that are active in TRONIX.
Find User
Click this button to execute the user search.


      3. After clicking Find User, the User Name table updates with a list of users within TRONIX that match your search.

4. Click on a User Name (blue hyperlink) to view that user's details in the User Management dialog (discussed in Add a New User).

Retire a User

To retire a User in TRONIX:

  1. Follow the steps in the Search for Users section above to search for the user.

2. Locate the user to retire in the User Name table and click the Retire button to the right of the user.


3. TRONIX deactivates the user and the user status changes to Retired. 

Reset a User's Password

To reset a user's password:

  1. Follow the steps in the Search for Users section above to search for the user whose password you want to reset.
  2. When you have located the user, click the Reset Password button to the right of the user's name.
  3. A success message appears indicating that the reset password email has been sent. 
  4. TRONIX sends the user an email with a link to reset their password.
